Sabata exited the can he and Alina had taken to Queens after paying the driver. He quickly went to a trash can and vomited. after he was done he leaned against a wall with a grown. "How fast was that guy going?" Sabata asked Alina, who he expected to get off soon.

Alina stepped out. Her stomach was fine, actually. She had dealt with far worse watching her parents die before her eyes. She smiled half-heartedly. "Somewhere in the neighborhood of my stomach is in the last curve and you just puked on my shoe."

Sorry didn't think the joke was funny, but wasn't exactly glaring either. "OK, so where do you live." Sabata put his knife in his boot. "With any luck, we run into a guy with a smaller knife than I have and I can recant that 'you call that a knife' line from Crocodile Dundee." Sabata walked over to where ALina was and waited for a response.

Alina giggled some at her own joke, laughing a little bit harder at his glare. Then grinned some at his joke. She looked around some. "I'm not 100% on where I'm going...It's a huge house, though. The Elias Mansion." She hoped he knew where that was, because she certainly did not.

Sabata looked at his watch. "Ok, that should be 2 hours away, from their, my apartment is about 3 away, leaving one before the sun comes up...I'm good." Sabata said. "Well, come along." Sabata headed in the direction of said house.

Alina followed him. Two hours was a long time, but she was okay with that. She wandered how she got herself into this mess. Being gone for hours on end and showing up at day break? Ajora was going to be furious...At least it was Saturday. She had all weekend to recuperate. She didn't have another Track meet or practice until Monday. She smiled at the one good thought, then yawned.
"So...I guess...You're another one of those things that should scare me more than a knife?"

"Only if your blood type's O." Sabata said with a lick of lips. "For some reason, it's the only type I really actually like to want it after feeding already. Remember when I said I'd eaten earlier, some shmuck pissed me off. The police will find him in the morning. That doesn't frighten you, does it?" Sabata continued towards the mansion with Alina.

Alina gulped some but shook her head. Her new parents were vampires and she figured dying by losing blood would be slow, but mostly painless; like falling asleep, maybe...She bit her lip and a tear reached her eyes. She quickly wiped it away.
"I think the deteriorating human body, wasting away from man made drugs never meant by God to be ingested is far worse a fate than to die by being sucked dry."

"OK then...you're right, being sucked dry ain't actually all that bad, the bad part is getting bit." Sabata shuddering as he continued to walk. "To sharp objects hitting near a pressure point, oh god. Because of that, I try to give my victims as painless a death as possible before feeding." Sabata grinned at Alina. "You probably won't have to worry about that though, I like you."

Alina blushed. She couldn't help herself. A boy, older than her, had said he liked her. And as grown up as she may be in some aspects, she was still only a pre-teenage girl. But..she hoped he didn't mean he liked her in another way...She really didn't know her blood type. She tried to speak to keep him from noticing her blush.
"Well, I guess that's always good. Hopefully my new parents like me enough not to eat me, either." She smiled some, and hoped she didn't sound too stupid.

"Yeah hopefully. I make a friend in this bloody town, hopefully she won't get killed." Sabata said, continuing towards the mansion. "And I mean like as a friend by the way, a few more years, maybe, just maybe the other way."

Alina blushed brightly at that comment. She barely even noticed the boys at her school. None of them were mature enough, none of them were even interesting enough. Besides, most of them were also on the many sports teams she played on, and thought of her as one of the guys. It was nice to feel like she was something more than that.
"Ajora seems nice enough...Maybe a bit over zealous, but nice enough anyway. I doubt her or Carth would eat me. They seemed to excited to get a new daughter..." She tried to keep the conversation flowing in another direction. She liked the idea of a boyfriend, but she was so inexperienced and young that she did not want to get her hopes up, only to have them dashed in a couple years when he had found someone else or something.

Sabata smiled at this. "You're lucky, really damn lucky, you know that. I've raised myself for god knows how long, odd jobs, pickpocketing, the works, you know?" Sabata said. "It's good know you've had some positive influence."

Alina shook her head. He had no idea. She had only mentioned some of her influencing, and that had only been in the past month.
"No..I raised myself starting from about the time I started school...Five or six, maybe...My parents were drug addicts and they decided about a year or so ago to do a duel overdose...But before that, all they provided was the house and the food. And not for me either...And I should tell you, my name is really Alina..I just had to be sure you weren't going to do something to me first..."

"I guess it's kind of rude of me, my names Sabata, Sabata Ringo." Sabata said. "As for my parents, no idea, they died when I was three, sent to an orphanage, broke out when I was 6." Sabata could see the mansion up ahead.
