(If ya wanna join, ask on Cbox and I'll tell ya if you can.) Carth opened the large doors of his old mansion, frowning. It was deserted, none of the Mehkets were even in site. What had happened to New York while he was gone? It was ridiculous. His wife was gone...his foster daughter Alina was gone...Where was everyone?
He had just returned from the Nosferatu housing to find that even Ko Tanran, his close friend..if you could call Ko that, and wise advisor had even left his own clan. Depressed, and needing a drink, Carth wandered into the Kitchen in the back of his mansion, finding the ingredients for a good non-alcoholic drink inside and mixing it. Taking his rose-colored drink back out to the main entrance, he sat and mused upon this, sipping at it.
Noone was left that he knew...so far...

LuLu had to hunt. She couldn't wait inside any longer. Her sister was somewhere hunting, and had offered to bring her with, but LuLu was worse than she had been before. All people, vampires, even animals, including her beloved squirrels, scared the daylights into her (hehe). She stood and shakily left her apartment.
She jumped at every shadow, every noise. Eventually, she attracted the attention of a scary man who preyed on young girls. Even though LuLu was older than she looked, she still had the perfect attitude about her. She heard, and smelled, the man. Strangely, it turned her on to feel his heart beating, to smell his dominance and wish to rape her. Her eyes glowed a bright golden red color as she turned to face the man following her.
The were under a set of those apartment fire escape stairs. The rest of their surroundings were completely deserted, save for them. The man was taken aback by her eyes, but the rest of her seemed so appetizing that he didn't falter in his step, except to seemingly barely trip on his on foot.
She was wearing a pair of black leather pants. She was wearing shoes today, too. Boots that buckled up to her knees that were also black and platform, too. She had been into Ella's closet. Her shirt was a black leather tube top that revealed her abdomen and back. The man was practically drooling over himself as he took in the little black beauty, believing her innocence and small demeanor to be helpless to defend herself against his strong, beer bellied self.
She blinked a few times, her mouth watering as she smelled the blood, felt his heart beat. She allowed him to get closer. He spoke, but she couldn't understand what he said. Her mind was calculating exactly how to go about this. Without really thinking about it, her body sent out a pulse of fear that made the man stutter and nearly fall to his knees. She smiled innocently and purposefully did it again. This time he did fall. She placed her hand on his shoulder, about up to her waist, and leaned down, her lips touching his ear.
"Comment faut-il le sentiment de devenir la victime?" She whispered seductively, at the same time allowing the full force of her fear to wash over him and anything/one around them. No one would bother them, feeling so vulnerable under her spell. She moved her lips to his neck, feeling his pulse race. This was more than she could take. Her fangs extended and she took the plunge, her teeth digging into his major artery and severing it as she drank deeply of his flesh.

Carth stretched, downing his Shirley Temple and setting the glass down once more. "Great. Where is every-" He blinked as he felt a familiar feeling tingle up his spine. The one kind of feeling only a Nosferatu could make him feel. Fear. "Ugh...well, maybe they'll know where Ko snuck off to." He stood up and quickly left, his speed making up for his lousy fighting in many cases. He sped off to where he felt the fear, to find a vampire feeding on a human.
"Messy eater, aren't you dear?" He spoke, to the vampire that he knew, who he was glad hadn't left. Someone he had also missed dearly while in Romania. One of his foster-daughters, Lulu. "Where's your sister?"

LuLu dropped her prey, hissing as she looked up. Her eyes were full of anguish at what she had just done and the fact that someone else was around. Weird. She figured most people would stay away. Of course, this wasn't most people. And how did he know she had a...Sis..ter...Carth!
"Oi! Ma soeur! Je ne sais pas. Mange?" She shrugged, smiling some. She wiped her mouth. She didn't get any closer to him, and if he were to make a move toward her, she'd probably back up or run.

Of course, he remembered that the half-looney girl was more comfortable speaking in french, usually to her imaginary pet squirrel. Speaking of which...he reached into his cloak and pulled forth a plush squirrel, one he had bought her in Romania, holding it out to her.
"Je peux le voir, mon cher. Content je suis à la maison?" He chuckled. His foster daughter was definitely a strange one, but he loved her, along with the other two.

LuLu blinked some. She hadn't really thought about squirrels these last few months. Or anything for that matter. She had stayed as far away from everyone as possible, except for Ella. She tentatively moved forward a few inches, slowly, then snatched the squirrel and backed away some. She frowned, looking like a puppy who had done something wrong.
"Désolé ! Je juste n'ai pas eu beaucoup de contact dans un moment. Depuis… Huntington quitté."
((Sorry! I just have not had much contact in a while. Ever since...Huntington left.))

So...even the Vampire Hunter had left...guess since there were no more vampires, he took off too. Well this was sad...He didn't have much love for Huntington, but at least he respected him...and Lulu and himself seemed to have something romantic. "I'm sorry, Lu..." He put out a hand to touch her shoulder, then retracted it instantly, not wanting to scare her away. He knew she was averted to touching anyone, even him.
"If it makes you feel better, Ajora is gone too..." His wife had apparently left to wherever everyone else had...depressing, but at least she was probably happy there. Sighing, he took a seat on the ground, putting his arms over his knees. "Theres only a few of us left here.." He looked down at the ground, a feeling of loneliness overtaking him.

LuLu moved her shoulder away instinctively, but he didn't touch her, so she relaxed a little. She took a deep breath, holding back tears, and sat beside him. "I..Noticed. Ma soeur...Ella...She's around..." She shrugged and leaned her head on her hand and her elbow on her knee.

He glanced back at the old Mekhet house, not far away. "Would you like something to drink?" He sighed and stood up, brushing his coat off. He offered her a hand up, though doubted she would take it.

LuLu looked at the hand like it was diseased and stood without his help. She began walking toward the house. She didn't answer his question about a drink. She looked pitiful, really, like a lost puppy, with those sad, beady eyes. She felt as bad as she looked. She wasn't sure where people had gone (not that she cared), but she had just begun to make a breakthrough when all of them disappeared.

Post by Ajora on Sept 15, 2009 0:24:02 GMT -5
((Sorry to barge into things... If I'm not wanted, just delete this post and I'll understand...)) A familiar sight came to the face of Ajora. The rustic building, which smelled of old literature and books, which housed her love. Great memories were held here as well. Times which she never forgot, even when things looked dismal at best.Grimly, she recounted the events that brought her back this night.
~~~~~ She had one final deal to make for her company - one that would ensure a more than healthy flow of income to her and her kin. There'd be no more need for her to do anything but tend to and love her family. It would be from here that she would return with all sorts of surprises for her husband and child. But this was only the dream. When Ajora arrived in Detriot, something was almost immediately afoul. The air simply reeked that something was going to go wrong tonight. Before she had any time to react, she was out cold, smashed to the back of the head by a pair of vampires. The events past this were merely a blur. She recounted being tied up, abused, possibly raped. But she could not recall why. What were they after? They wanted some sort of information out of her... Something she refused to give them. Day after day, they kept her alive, and tortured her endlessly. Over something they deemed so important. What? One night, however, something happened. Vampires came and raided the warehouse that she was kept in. Amongst the bloodshed, she managed to get free and escape. This was about all she could recount from this time. Perhaps part of her was suppressing the memory, perhaps she simply had it beaten out of her. All Ajora could do was try to move past it and live her life once again. She had little means of knowing how much time had passed. Or, in fact, where she was. Wearing nothing but tattered black jeans and a tank-top that she'd managed to loot from a body amidst the combat, she'd escaped into the streets and called a taxi. She swiftly regurgitated the location of the Mehket Clan House to the driver. The Arab man cocked an eye-brow. The distance appeared far, and he judged by her clothing that she did not have the cash to get there.
Look, I don't have a damn thing on me. But if you take me there, before the sun rises, I will pay you 1000$ cash, as soon as we get there. Please Sir?
Perhaps it was the seductive tone that laced her voice. Maybe even a sense of decency. Either way, after a long cab ride, New York came into view. Ajora had never been happier in her life.
~~~~~

She stepped out of the cab, feeling quite dizzy. She needed to feed. In fact, she needed a lot of things, but for now, she did need to pay this man. She spun on her heels, popping her head through the passenger window to explain the situation.
I should be back in no more than a few minutes. If you think I'm taking too long, by all means, come in. At your own risk.... She added, trying her best to keep a human out of a coven of vampires. Not something needed right now. She rounded once again, staring the house down for a moment. She was quite scared to enter, or even near this building. What if they didn't accept her back? What if Carth ws dead? What if something, anything, had happened to someone she cared about before her untimely removal? She wished there was some way that she could make up for the lost time with each of them, repair the wounds and sow the seeds of happiness once again. But her heart sank. Why would they.... Ajora shook her head, as if to try to rattle those thoughts out of her own mind. She had to stay optimistic here. She had not come so far only to have everything lost here. She pondered a way to make herself known. She knew that this, and only this, would draw out Carth if he still lingered. And if he was not drawn... Then she knew her time here was fleeting. And so she began to sing a song she had long ago wrote and dedicated to the man she loved. Calmly, she walked forward towards the door, a steady stream of tears flowing down her face. She could only hope he remembered it..
Look at the stars Look how the shine for you...
I came along I wrote a song for you And all the things you do....
You know I love you... You know I love you so...
She paused upon the massive front door now, her gaze burning a hole straight through it. Nothing. Nothing seemed to change. She came near the end of her song, with the sad realization that things had changed, and perhaps, she was no longer welcome. She pressed her back firmly against the door in fury, as the last words choppily escaped her throat.
Look at the stars Look at how the shine for you And everything you do...

(sorry if I'm butting in, just tell me)
Laguna stormed towards his clan house with a bitter, angry scowl, bloodied scythe resting on his back.
"Dammit....those hunters must have wiped half the vampires off the map...when I find them I'll...." he trailed off. What will you do, Laguna? Kill them? HA! You're a mehket...and fragile....cowardly mehket. The voice of doubt in his head cooed. Laguna was getting sick of it's chiming in, even though it was usually right.
He saw Ajora and brows furrowed Well at least you aren't alone anymorethe voice said again. Laguna was utterly pissed off, he'd torn up a couple with the intent of attracting a hunter, his trap had worked, and he'd made it seemed like the hunter had killed the couple and died in an accident. Laguna chuckled cruelly Times are changing Laggy, time we vampires ripped these ignorant bastards to shreds... Laguna nodded to no one, when he'd started hearing those voices of doubt (or were they voices of reason?) he began fearing he was losing his mind. Schinzophrenia and Psychosis popped into his head frequently, then his murdering started. Nothing much...a few mysterious deaths here and there, lone hunters started dying of accidents. Laguna was in no mood to hide in darkness anymore, it was time to remind these humans who is boss here.
He looked over at her, she seemed to be crying. He hid his murderous anger away in the back of his heart at this sight. "Ajora...It's....good to see you again" he said with worried concern, something was severely wrong, Carth maybe?

((Assuming they were walking toward the mansion, which I think was close enough to their location..))
LuLu looked up when she heard singing. It was so beautiful. She took off running toward the sound. She stopped a few hundred feet away, noticing Laguna and Ajora at the door. She frowned. Ajora had been the one singing, she deduced, but she was not going any closer right now. At least not without Carth.
She was warming up to him again, mostly out of respect for not forcing her along or not touching her, or even saying much on their walk. She looked back for him, waiting for him to catch up.

(( sorry for barging in .. they did it too lol)) Ella felt her sister move in the house, She felt her sisters hesitance as she noticed Ajora and She felt Carth in the house as well. She knew Lu was safe with him for the most part but she was her sister and she protected what was her's. She hadn't seen Lu in so long and she had missed her so .. Ella came around the back after noticing the others at the front door. She slipped through the backdoor and reached out with her mind for Lulu." I Am here if you need me .. I love you"

ELLA! Her thoughts exploded. Her eyes opened wide. More than anything, now, she wanted her sister. She followed the thought process (kind of literal for her) and eventually came to the source. She jumped on her sister and squeezed her hard, not letting up for anything.
