Carth sat on the edge of one of the Staten Island, looking down at the cliffs and waves breaking upon them below him. He had always enjoyed the ocean, and had visited it many times. Now he got to live near it...it was beautiful. He stretched and laid back upon the ground, staring up at the sky.
It was beautiful tonight, not a cloud there. The millions, billions of stars were twinkling above him. They were as beautiful as the ocean to this scholar, who loved all mysteries...

Marcus had just arrived back in his own territory after that scuffle with Danielle. He was heading back to the shipyard where the epicenter of the Gangrel clan was. He walked calmly with a smile on his face. He really enjoyed that scuffle back in the daeva territory. Though what he really enjoyed was seeing Danielle's face filled with rage. He stopped in his steps turning to his left. He sensed another vampire, a Mekhet. He darted in the direction he sensed the Mekhet. He jumped up into the air seeing the Mekhet and it looked like the leader of the Mekhet's. He landed lightly on the ground standing over the Mekhet leader with a smile. "Good evening young master."

Carth looked up, a curious expression on his face. "Allo mate." He smelled Gangrel, but he was open to all different kinds of vampires, and had no quarrel with him. "Nice night out, eh?"

Marcus looked up at the sky. "Yes it is indeed a good night. But what are you doing in my territory?" He looked back down at Carth wondering what could possible make him come to the Gangrel territory. Marcus couldn't see why he would come here.

He didnt look up, only pointed off of the cliff, then at the sky. "The ocean...and from this point the stars are particularly beautiful. I apoligize for trespassing." He looked up again. "This means you are the Gangrel leader, no?" He hadnt yet met the Gangrel commanders.

"Whatever it's fine." At the moment he didn't mind Carth being here. "Umm... well actually no I'm second in command." He frowned at those last words. He wants to be the leader but he wasn't able to. He wasn't strong enough and it pisses him off. Though that didn't show on his face. He kept his face neutral or with a smile for now.

"Thank you. You are welcome to take a seat." He sat up, stretching. "Whats your name...?"

"No thanks, I'd rather stand." He looked away for a second then back at Carth. "My name is Marcus Eckhart." Amazing how calm Marcus is right now. Usually he'd attack but not this time which was a rare thing.

"As you wish." He layed back once more, looking up at the sky and still keeping the Gangrel in his view. "Carth Elias."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Carth Elias." He grinned looking down at Carth.

"The same to you." He continued staring up at the stars, a curious look in his eye. "What brings you out tonight?"

A grin carved its way across his face. "I went out for a drink in Brooklyn." He licked his lips remembering the taste of the woman's blood. "She was in her twenty's mmmm... she was tasty." She really was and it would have been great to drink all of her blood but Marcus wasn't able to. "But sadly I was interrupted by a nosy cop and two Ventrue bitches."
