Ajora takes careful consideration to be noiseless. Not that she needs to try. If she hadn't mastered it by now, how would she be the only of her order to not die...yet? She had to know something. She had to find Carth. But she'd swept the quarters of Mehket several times. "Is he out?" she wonders. Only one way to find out.
"Long lost words whisper slowly to me... Still can't find what keeps me here... When all this time I've been so hollow inside. I know you're still there..." she sang.
Surely, even as she sang to herself, he would find her.

"You know, I'm not Superman. I can't just swoop in to the rescue every time. Usually." He raised an eyebrow as he opened the doors of the Mehket House, finding Ajora inside. "What is it? Here for a visit?"

"Do you want me" she asks, blankly. "Are you seriously going to accept the risks of this, of....us? If you are, so am I. I'm tired of running from it, from hiding it, from denying it." She did not move. Either answer would cause pain. One physically, one mentally.

"I...what?" He was confused. All those years their agreement had held up, even if he hated it. He sighed. "Why the sudden change of heart?" He walked near her, sitting down at one of the chairs.

"Hiding this from Danielle breaks my heart. She's the only one, apart from yourself, to have been there for me. She's helped me with everything, and i want the piece of mind of knowing i can come clean with her..." she spoke, sitting adjacent from from Carth on the table. "And...." she looked straight at him. "I don't want to be alone anymore. I'm going to make you stay this time."

He chuckled lightly, then was up suddenly, pressed against her, his arms wrapped tight around her and his lips pressed against hers fiercely. He pulled back just barely, whispering "You couldnt make me leave..." Then pressed his lips back against hers once more.

Fiercely, she pressed back. She liked it rough. "Is that a promise?" she gasped, pulling to the side for only a second. She would die for this.

He didnt even bother answering, grinning. She knew it was. "I love you, Ajora."

"I love you too Carth. I always will." She forcefully pushed him over onto the floor, pouncing on him before he even fell. Their bodies now entwining, the passion overflowing, the clothes getting in the way.

~~~~~~6 Hours Later~~~~~~~ Carth groaned and awakened, feeling the heat of the sun's rays. The sun was still about an hour from rising, but being a Mekhet made him more sensitive to its rise. He tried to sit up and realized that there was a small feminine shape sleeping on his chest. He blinked for half-a-second, then remembered what had transpired. He smiled to himself and lay back down, moving his hand to stroke through his lover's hair. "Ajora..." He whispered softly, running his hand down her back lightly. "We have to move to another room..."
6 1/2 hours later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "mmmm...." she moaned. "If you want to move, oh sensitive one, you will have to carry me." Her eyes did not open, she was too comfy....and exhausted.
He laughed and sat up, moving her gently. "This is going to take an amass of skill.." He picked her up with one arm, pulling her against his chest, then walked around the room, picking up all the clothes that had been thrown off in the passion. He carried them to his room.
It was the biggest room in the house, belonging to the old master. An enourmous bed with red velvet sheets and hangings was in the center against the wall, with other adornments such as a table, a plush chair, and a large armoire. He swept the sheets and covers of the bed and laid his lover down, crawling in next to her and pulling the covers back. "Tired?" he whispered, curling around her.
"Mildly" she replies. "Not only have i waited for this for too long a time, but, truth be told.....It was my first time." She knew he was awake now. Probably thinking "No way, that was too good for her first time." "Mmmmmmmmmmmmm....." she sighed. Her body felt really warm. Really nice.
"I know...mine too..." He nuzzled her neck lightly with his cheek. "Go to sleep. We are safe here..." He closed his eyes, and her rythmic breathing slowly brought him to sleep, wrapped tightly around her in an embrace. The sun rose within an hour, but not even he could feel it, as the sleep he had was the deepest he had ever have.
She didn't need to be told twice. Within seconds, her usually beyond cold skin was warm, and she dozed of yet again. For the first time since she was turned, she dreamed.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
She was on her farm, her family still alive, her walls unstained, her body unchanged. All was the way it used to be. Should be. With one change. A small, silver band on her finger. And the one who gave it to her, standing beside her, holding her hand. "Carth, don't ever leave" she says. "You couldn't make me" he replies.
